Bob and Weave (S47: Episode 13)

That was a jam packed Part 1 finale, buuuut you all know what happened so we won’t bore you here with a recap! 

Though before we dive into our exciting league updates and finale bonus wager breakdown, check out this deleted scene of Sam and Genevieve from last week’s episode. It provides some important insight into Sam and Genevieve’s friendship/partnership towards the end of the game, how the last Tribal Council shook out, and where Sam’s head is at going into the Final 4. 

Aright now let’s check out the league heading into tonight’s finale!

Out of 66 Vukelulu league members, we had 40 who submitted finale bonus wagers. That’s over 60% participation so huge shout out to you all for joining in on the fun and making this such an exciting season for the Vukelulu Tribe!

17 people decided to risk it all with Option 3B! Amanda S., Amelia, Amy, Coach Juju, David, DMC, Elissa, Elizabeth, Emma W., Fo, Gabe, Josh, Laura, Mason, Mme. Brendoni, Tribemaster Brian, and Tribemaster Liv all took the leap. Coach Juju decided to pass off her advantage from the auction to her alliance member Strega Mandi who had a higher ranking in the standings going into the episode. With the advantage, Strega was able to submit TWO guesses for Option 3B. Unfortunately, she was wrong in both of her submissions :/ Of the 17 risk takers, only ONE remains eligible for wagering correctly - Amelia! Amelia has had no tribe members left for a couple of weeks now, and only has 260 points total heading into tonight’s episode so she truly had nothing to lose! Will she be able to earn 400 points to redeem her standing for this season? All other 16 people who attempted Option 3B will receive 0 points for the final two episodes of the season. Quite a number of people correctly guessed that Andy and Genevieve would be the two vote outs in Episode 13, but everyone except for Amelia got the order incorrect. Big props to everyone who gave our first-ever “3B” option a go!

Looking ahead to tonight’s finale, we’ve got 7 league members who selected Option 3A and will submit their wagers for the Final 4 boot order before tonight’s episode - Adam, Andrew R, Emma L., Emmy, Philippe, Ryan, and Sari. Anyone who guesses correctly will earn 200 points! Anyone else will earn 0 points. This is an EXTRA juicy wager for Ryan who has been our frontrunner for the vast majority of the season. Though he currently still stands at the top of the leaderboard with 807 points heading into the finale, the risk he’s taking by choosing 3A means there’s a slight opening for Tyler (who trails behind Ryan by 156 points) to swoop in with some big points in this final episode. Tyler has gone with Option 2 and doubled down on Rachel as his Sole Survivor. If he’s correct and Ryan is wrong, it would be enough for Tyler to swoop in and snag the win from Ryan. WHEW I am on the edge of my seat with this one, ya’ll!

With the departure of Andy, Mme. Brendoni was the only one to lose his Sole Survivor. Genevieve’s boot means Ryan, Aashi, Sarah T., Duncan, Bella, Elizabeth and Carolyn all have lost their Sole Survivor. Between the departures of Andy and Genevieve, Carolyn, Nonna Nina, Alyson Z. Maddie, Coach Juju, Anna, Elizabeth, Elissa, Angela, and Tribemaster Liv no longer have any remaining castaways on their tribes. Sorry for you, the tribe has spoken.

RIP to whom I would deem two New Era Legends (for very different reasons).
