WHAT AN EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER OF AN EPISODE! Bravo, CBS!

For these past few months we have truly watched one of the most satisfying character arcs in the Survivor franchise: Financial Analyst Emily Flippen go from one of the least desirable draft picks in Vukelulu league history to a serious contender that's winning individual rewards, building calculated relationships allowing her to play all sides and finally making some power moves!
Emily ends up picking all of the girls: Julie, Katurah and Dee, to join her at the Survivor Sanctuary (where good things happen). This was an interesting and well-calculated move, once again, on Emily's part. Not picking Drew (who seems to be her tightest ally in an effort to not expose their closeness), not picking Bruce and Austin (two of the strongest challenge competitors for a food reward to keep them weaker), feeding Julie (a member in her Reba alliance and one of the stronger challenge competitors) with food and love with letters from home, and picking Katurah (who seems to be kinda on the outs)...it all was just perfect.
Although I wish they would bring back loved ones visit, this was a pretty emotional letters from home. I was here for it.
I am very confused as to why Bruce needed to "test" his lie on Katurah. This felt like a classic Bruce move, where he is not truly inn touch with the game he is playing, nor the game that everyone else is playing. It felt like a good, plausible story that Kellie would have been sent home with his idol, which is why he's been playing so hard to win the individual immunities. Because of this lack of awareness, Katurah leaked to the girls on the reward that Bruce was going to be telling this lie to the rest of the tribe.
Meanwhile at Dakuwaqa camp.... the Top Gun "guys" should be nominated for a VMA! Genius editing - and such a fun camp life edit we all love to see!

I feel so bad for Jake. He is trying really hard, but every step he makes he keeps getting duped. I really do enjoy watching him fall down and get back up again time and time again. You go, kid!

At the immunity challenge, Katurah has a surprise panic attack over the water (it almost felt like the overwhelming feeling of receiving the letter from her mom triggered this reaction?)
“We cannot go the final three with anyone called Mama.” - While Katurah makes a valid point, the tide was too strong amongst the rest of the tribe to get Bruce out. It was too risky for Emily to make her move to get Mama J, so instead she played like Sandra and will wait patiently.
Bruce going home, blindsided, idol in his pocket. Great job, Emily for navigating that move - it will be interesting to see how she "claims" it for her resume.
I'm mostly sad that this is the end of the Katurah/Bruce rivalry.

The biggest news this week comes in the form of a Vukelulu League FIRST. We are now officially ten episodes in and Katrina still has her entire tribe still intact (Dee, Emily, Jake, Julie and Katurah). This is the furthest in the game that any league members' tribe has remained untouched! She scored a massive 100 points for this week's episode and is definitely the one to beat heading into the final few episodes.
Trailing Katrina points-wise is the league-leader, for the third week in a row, Tribemaster Brian (+89 points) and Season 44's Champion, Peach (+82 points). Both Tribemaster Brian and Peach have four out of their five draft picks still left in the game.
Although Bruce was no one's Sole Survivor pick, his elimination is surely going to cause some shake-ups within the league. He has been such a heavy point scorer for the past few weeks that the majority of the current top 10 league members had him on their tribes. The only three top-tenners to not have him on their tribes are coincidentally the previously mentioned; Katrina, Tribemaster Brian and Peach.

Enjoy this Wednesday's episode!
