This episode was pretty jam packed, and once again, our producers do a solid job of keeping us informed with the social dynamics of all three tribes. At the Baka camp, we get to be a part of the ever-so-satisfying experience of watching someone who thinks they secretly know something, but really we know that they don’t actually know that the other person knows what they think they know. Ya know? (Lookin’ at you Elie & Gabler).
At Coco, we’re taken through the rollercoaster ride of Karla finding the Beware Advantage, choosing to leave it behind, then second guessing herself, going back to get it, and ultimately successfully unlocking the Immunity Idol via the beads of her tribemates. I personally LOVED watching her grapple with that decision, and for a moment I thought we might see our first ever “refusal” of a Beware Advantage since the twist was introduced back in Season 41. It was fun to see the difference in the tension between Cody’s Beware Advantage last episode and Karla’s in this one. Without the fear of Tribal Council on the table for Karla, she was able to take a creative and chill approach to gathering the beads without needing to tell a single one of her tribemates.

Lastly at the Vesi camp, we watch as OG twosomes (Dwight & Jesse, Cody & Nneka) begin to question their alliances and start to shake things up. New twosomes form in Cody & Jesse and Dwight & Noelle, and with the tribe’s weakest link gone, this group of four seems filled with TONS of potential.

Let’s See How We Did: Our heavy hitter this episode, mostly thanks to her Beware Advantage, was Karla. She brought in a whopping 27 points for her tribes - the most points earned by a single player so far this season. Noelle is the next highest scoring castaway with 14 points thanks to her summit with Owen and James where she receives an advantage. And despite her torch being snuffed this episode, Nneka at least bids her tribes adieu with a final 3 points thanks to the tears she shed.
As we often see early on in a season, the rankings really get shaken up from one episode to the next. Chef Josh made a massive leap into first place (with 97 points) after sitting in the mediocre 18th ranking last episode. Perhaps even more impressively, Tori and Anastasia (previously in the 30th ranking last episode) have now landed themselves in the top 10 (each with 89 points). That’s a solid leap!
Every league member in the top 10 from this episode has Karla on their tribe (with the exception of Amanda S. who remains in a top spot, but dropped from 1st to 7th.)
With this episode's departure of Nneka, we’ve now got 4 league members who have already lost two of their tribe members. Pour some out for Allie B., Allison K., Christie, and Mel. Your future is dim, but your fire is NOT out. Don’t give up hope! Emmy was the only league member with Nneka selected as her Sole Survivor. Sorry Emmy :/

See ya next time! Tribemasters Liv + Brian
