WHAT'S UP, VUKELULU?!

This week we had a surprise 2 hour episode, what a delight! Emotions were generally high and chaotic - from tears about hunger, losing challenges, and being on the outs, to players roasting each other and Jelinsky who was already voted off the island last week (Kinda felt like what the Tribemasters did when they saw people rank Jelinsky in their draft...SMH!) We had a pretty epic new Immunity Challenge with that giant arch puzzle (how often do we see them go to commercial during a challenge because it’s taking so long?). Plus I personally got a kick out of this:

Now for the league…

Tribes have been finalized and we're officially back with another season of Survivor!

Our Sole Survivor picks were somewhat concentrated amongst a few players: Maria and Hunter were each selected as 7 peoples’ Sole Survivors, Tiffany was selected 6 times, and Soda was selected 5 times. No one selected Liz, Moriah, Q, or Venus as their Sole, and Ben, Jess, Randen, and Tim were each only selected once. This means there’s a decent chance that no one in our league has correctly identified the Sole Survivor! We’ll have to wait and see. 

Maria, Soda, Tevin, and Tiffany were the only players who were not chosen as Merge Bonuses for anyone meaning they are actively gaining points for all 13 tribes they are on. The most popular Merge Bonus pick this season was Jess. She was selected as the Merge pick on 7 out of her 13 tribes. This turned out to be a wise choice as Jess was voted out this episode, and didn’t earn a single point for her tribes. Yikes. 

Ben was the biggest earner this week (17 points) thanks to naming the episode, crying, and being on a winning tribe. This largely contributed to our standings this week as everyone in our top 9 had Ben on their tribe. Angela is the only person to lose her Sole Survivor, Jess, this week. Coach Juju is currently on top with 51 points (which is impressive, as she admittedly needed to draft having not watched the first episode) but we’ve got a long road ahead, and it's anyone's game!
