COME ON IN (new) GUYS! Yes, my friends, our league is going VIRAL. We have three new tribe members joining our weekly email - possibly dipping their toes in our fantasy league "pool" to see if they want to join us for season 41?!?! Anyways, WELCOME Jenna, Mike & Tori!!
Let's dive right into this week's episode, shall we???
The fire wood hike - WOW. Not a dry eye in the audience. Amiright?!? I think the last time I was this emotionally invested in a television sequence was May 6, 2004 when Rachel "got off the plane." But THIS is why Survivor remains the most important show on television. Watching the human body being pushed to the LIMIT ...and then take it one step further is incredible. Ethan DID IT. And then seeing Amber, Nat and Danni join him on that bonus 21st lap... it was beautiful.

Adam is ON THE BOTTOM - Let the apology tour begin: chatting everybody up, collecting firewood, helping around camp. Honestly, it is definitely the best move for his game. But does it even matter?! Boston Rob is still going to stir the pot and bring the chaos.

Officer Sarah is crazzzyyyyyy asking Tyson to breathe his stank breath on her. I feel weird/self-conscious kissing my FIANCEE in the morning when I know I have morning breath...what is she thinking?!?!
That octopus looked mad good. Nice char. Best "caught" food I've seen on Survivor.
Tyson not even remembering Sophie - "And...I don't even know who the last one is.. Sophie. So under the radar I did not even know her name." Tyson is SMART to recognize Yul/Sophie's alliance of unconnected players.
WE HAVE A SANDRA BENCH!!!

THE CHALLENGE: I ALWAYS ROOT FOR A GOOD UNDERDOG/COMEBACK STORY!!! And this was IT! Denise and Parv who typically do great in challenges were useless. And seeing Adam empty the tank, jumping up to capture all THREE keys was exhilarating! And then the puzzle... It always comes down to the puzzle. And it could not have been set up more perfectly if they tried with Nick being on the team in the lead AND having solved that exact puzzle on his previous season. I felt bad for Nick, but Sele needed a win.
And then comes the scramble. I actually believed Sandra's whole "I don't play for revenge, I play for 2 million dollars" thing and I thought it was going to be Nick. But then again, Sandra is ALWAYS out for revenge! And that's why the Queen Stays Queen.™ The tribe did have a united front and as Sophie put it, the sub-division lines within the tribe stayed invisible!
Tyson becomes the third casualty in the "plan to weaken(?) Boston Rob without actually taking out Boston Rob," and then gifts his fire token to...Nick(??) WHAT?!?! WHY???
And there you have it. Another EXCELLENT episode...but still, WAY TOO SHORT.
HOW DID WE DO?!

This was a fairly high scoring week for everyone: FIRE TOKENS! TEARS! NUDITY! Tyson was the only player this week who earned zero points. And no one "lost" their sole survivorthis week. Started from the bottom now we're here!: For the first time all season, Adam is not in the bottom 5 and lands this week's leader position with 47 points thanks in part to having the two biggest point earners, Adam AND Nick on his tribe. Bri and Rachael trail Adam each earning 36 points this week. Our biggest losers this week are Kath (21), Jill (24) and Matt (24) all suffering from the polarizing-fan-favorite, Tyson getting his torch snuffed! Brian (187), Joyce (181), and Matt (180) remain our leaders in points for the third week in a row. And Kath (127) and Amanda (124) are at the bottom of our pack, with three of their draft picks now on the EoE! But things are shifting, and if this week's extinction challenge proves anything, just because you're voted out does not mean you're out of the game! You, too can become billionaires just like Nat.
