These double eliminations get me stressed...but THEN to top it off, we lost not one, but TWO Survivor QUEENS in one episode?!?!?! I'm crushed!! How did it come to this!?!? But in doing so we saw our FIRST real power-move all season..a star is born?? Maybe???

Let's dive in.
SHALL(-LA-LA-LA-LALA-LOW) WE....
We lost out on Tyson's week 1 on Edge of Extinction content last week, but don't worry...we gotta whole lot of action from him this week. Here's the thing about Tyson, he's one sneaky MOFO, and I kinda love it. Despite having Rob & Amber working together as a team, of course Tyson was going to find the advantage. I am surprised though that he sold the advantage to Parv. The only possible explanation is that the people on the Edge talk, and it was shared who everyone "bequeathed" (I hate that word) their fire tokens to? And then Tyson knew Parvati had plenty to go around?? Regardless, in an even MORE confusing move, Tyson cashed in his only fire token for some peanut butter. Yes, peanut butter. Gotta get some protein, I guess??

IMMUNITY & REWARD: As Jill always says, "If I was on Survivor, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches would be the thing I strip for!" So it was DEFINITELY something worth playing for! It was a classic challenge: some swimming, carrying big ass bags of rice, stuffing rice in a way too small of a hole, carrying the big ass bags some more to then cut them open and look for balls to put in a maze. AWESOME, I'M IN! It really looked like Sele was going to take this one, but Wendell needs to be cocky as shit, which opened the gate for Yara to take the lead and ultimately win.
After the challenge we got some quality time back at camps. Wendell is overtly running the show over at Sele (But I see you, Yul floatin' in the background not disturbing tha peace!)
Parvati wants to play with fun people. NICK, HOW CAN YOU TURN DOWN WORKING WITH YOUR HIGH SCHOOL CRUSH?!! And Wendell is NOT being fun
Over at Dakal we got a glimpse of Tony doing as Tony does (WHYYY??? You were playing it so chill up until this point), running off, hiding in "secret" spy shacks during the most critical game play time. It was confusing, but once again, I am loving Tony this season. He's been so much fun to watch!

Sandra, knowing the importance of fire tokens tried to strike up a deal with Denise. Sandra's idol (which was expiring this tribal anyways) with 2 of Denise's fire tokens. Denise being rebutted with a "I'll give you my second token when we return from tribal."
Sele's tribal was first, and I'm sorry, it sucks watching queen of the Black Widow's Brigade, Parvati be option-less. I got the impression she really wanted Wendell out because she saw potential down the line in working with Nick and Yul (Cook Island history!!!) Glad Michele stayed ride-or-die.

Then we got to Dakal's tribal and.... DE.NISE. STAP.LEY. YESSSSSS. THAT IS THE GAMEPLAY WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR FROM YOU!!! Brilliant. Brilliant. Brilliant. And the queen stays q̶u̶e̶e̶n̶ stuck in her 16-day curse. Sandra never saw it coming, and although I always (low-key) root for Sandra, it was fun to watch her get played. She had underestimated Denise. But I guess as fans we all should have seen it coming....

While it did seem dumb that Denise wasted her other idol on Jeremy, it did perhaps buy her trust and an alliance, and that my friends is priceless in the game of Survivor.

How'd we do?

With a double-elimination episode, advantages being sold, fire tokens exchanged and idols being played, pretty much everyone, (sorry, Kath!) had a high scoring week! Players with Parvati on their teams earned the most points (23!) thanks in part to her buying an advantage AND then being voted out with her idol nullifier in possession. Matt came in first this week (58 points - total 270) followed by Brian (53 points - total 278) and Joyce rounds out our top 3 once again with a total of 265 points. With Parvati being eliminated, Joyce is now the only member in our league with all 5 original draft picks still in the game- this will get interesting!!
The only player in our league with single-digit earnings this week (and with only 2 players left in her original draft), is Kath with a measly 6 points (). Kath (145) and Amanda (155) are at the bottom of our league.
As a side note, Jill and I were extremely bummed because we were supposed to be at Michele's watch party downtown for this week's episode. womp. womp. And it's looking like we're gonna be stuck like this for a while so I guess that means we'll all be back for another #quarantined episode of Survivor next week!!
