When the tribal emails dropped at 11:45 AM EST, it was a mad dash as each tribe figured (or didn't figure) strategies to get respponses in quickly, correctly and efficiently.

Within 5 minutes of receiving the email, Katrina responded prematurely by starting the unfortunate trend where Yellow tribe yellowed:

Borneo unfortunately is not a country (it's an Asian island shared between three countries – Brunei, Malaysia and Indonesia). The Tribemasters were looking for Malaysia since season 1 was filmed in Pulau Tiga. The chain was further broken when she responded a second time (the rules state only one email per tribe member).

Meanwhile on Blue tribe, Emma W. had more carefully read the instructions and started a separate thread, removing survivorvukelulu@gmail.com so that they can figure out a plan of attack:

At Red, Bella took it one step further by not only making a separate chain removing survivorvukelulu@gmail.com but also created a complete Google Doc with all of the correct answers, instructing tribe members to claim a season before responding to the official chain:

Over the next two hours thanks to Bella's organization, emails came in quickly, steadily and correctly from Red tribe: Adam, Maggie, Rachael, Mason, Christina F., Emmy, Amy S., Andrew, Tribemaster Brian, Marietta, Sasha, Cousin Lori, and Duncan.

While the Blue tribe was a bit slower in their approach, Tyler kicked off his tribe's chain, followed quickly by Ryan who built a G-Chat to further organize who was responsible for each season.

This proved to be successful because from 1-5pm responses trickled in like clockwork by league members in alphabetical order: Amanda S., Angela, Ashley, Mme. Brendoni, Bri, Christie, Claire, Connor W., Elissa, Emma L., Emma W., Gabe, Jill, and Kelly.

Meanwhile over at yellow...even though they were long out of it, they still pressed on and continued to confuse one another. Brian J. responding 10 minutes after Coach Juju with the same season, and got this funny reply all:

Julie and Katrina took off survivorvukelulu@gmail.com from their tribe's thread, but didn't make that clear to the other tribemates that they did so ...so, when Mel and DMC continued their chain but it didn't include survivorvukelulu@gmail.com, Yellow tribe's chain jumped from Season 7 to Season 10 when Josh responded with Palau.

Which then lead to Amelia to dish this little dose of reality:

But despite all of these blunders and being knocked out 5 minutes into the challenge, Yellow still pressed on eventually getting all the way up to Season 20, and getting this additional reply all from Anthony M.:

The only two members on Yellow tribe that did not submit any response were Mer and Paul.

Blue tribe continued to submit throughout the evening in alphabetical order (Laura, Meghan, and Mirette) and then didn't receive another email response until 24 hours later from Ryan getting them up to season 19 (Samoa).

Back on Red tribe, while they started off strong, a rogue email from Survivor Pete was sent, breaking their chain at Season 14. (China was the correct response, Pete!):

Red tribe had the worst participation out of the three tribes -- Anthony E., Christina F., Emily F., Kathy, Maddie, Nonna Nina and Sarah T. were all non-responsive.

But the challenge didn't end there! Impressively, Blue tribe continued to get collect correct responses throughout the weekend by Allison K., and Robbie, eventually completing their 22-season chain with Nolan!

Before we get into league points, we do want to give a quick shoutout to league-favorite, Aysha and her unfortunate blindside.

As a result, Alyson Z., Amanda S., Amelia, Coach Juju, Emma W., Gracie, Mer, and Survivor Pete all lost their sole survivor this week.
