He's All That (S47: Episode 8)

The auction is back!!!!!! Thank god!!! This was one of my favorite revivals in this new era of Survivor and I was nervous that it went away for good after not happening in Season 46!

Poor Andy! lol

I mean....even Bruce (S45) was able to find some tubes and he wasn't even trying. It got to the point where it was like are producers placing tubes right after Andy turns around? How was this even possible!? I also am not sure if Andy’s constant complaints about not finding cash was an attempt for pity, like he wanted someone to hand him a tube? Either way, his awkward shuffling behind everyone as they counted their money, was comedic gold.

Hands down the auction winner was Rachel who not only got the best looking meal (double-patty burger! fries!! beer!!!), she also had a clue to an idol hidden in her fries. The “Survivor Cash Back Program” seemed pointless—$60 wasn’t enough to change anyone’s game, especially when everyone was bidding everything they had in order to not end up with the most money, so if they bring this back, it might be more fun if it was like $200 back!

I did love the bid to eat some grub before the Sunrise Breakfast! (Sam crushed that).

Oh! And how could I forget!? Kyle’s moral dilemma with buffalo wings was one of those Survivor ethical moments that make the show great.

Overall, I thought this was a FUN episode: GO SUE! on that immunity win; Andy jumping ship and starting to make moves (we said it before, is this his winner's edit??); Rachel cleverly playing her Shot in the Dark to test if she needed to play her idol. All really fun. Well, except for Sierra....byyyyeeee!

AUCTION RESULTS AND LEAGUE UPDATE:

What an exciting auction (also if you have feedback on how the auction was run, good or bad, please let us know!) It got intense at points...but in the end, we got 10 winners that they may choose however they want to use, not use or give away their advantages.

Of these winners, the only league member who had to play their advantage by Episode 8 was Emily F. who had the Tripling Down Advantage. She chose to sacrifce her Sol points and triple down on Rachel which worked out nicely in her favor.

Even though Sierra was this week's boot, Sam was this week's lowest-earner being disadvantaged at the Survivor Auction and losing his vote. Sue was this week's biggest earner, scoring a whopping 33 points for her tribes, closely followed by Kyle with 25.

Sierra's exit caused a bunch of league members to lose their first tribe member. However, Ryan and Tribemaster Liv are now the only league members with an untouched tribe (5 tribe members)! Mme. Brendoni and Laura also sadly lost their Sole Survivors, and last season's fantasy league winner, Sari is now down to a tribe of one... sorry for you!

...we promise the next blog is coming soon!
