Is That Blood in Your Hair? (S47: Episode 4)

Is it just me or was this an electric pre-merge new era episode?! SO much went on. For starters…
Sam was rapping for his tribemates on Gato beach(Will I end up rapping out of boredom if I’m on Survivor someday? I’d like to think not, but this season is making me question things…)

Then over at Tuku, Sue finds a hidden immunity idol where for the first time ever, the idol came with a surprise attack of BLOOD (aka red paint that looked nothing like real blood). She makes quick work of thinking on the fly and hiding the evidence, but misses some paint spots on her face and hair. When Tiyana and Caroline spot the “blood”, Sue panics and blames it on biting her tongue which they don’t totally seem to buy into. Imagine biting your tongue so hard that the blood ends up in your hair??? Ouch. Will this moment of suspicion come back to bite her down the line? We’ll have to wait and see.

Now on Lavo beach, we’re witness to the chaos that is the dynamic of Rome and Sol. Sweet sweet Sol and unhinged Rome. Rome is so desperate to get Sol out of the game that he essentially stalks Sol across Lavo beach and doesn’t let him out of his sight at the risk of him finding an idol or talking his way out of being on the chopping block.
Fan girl moment - The Tribemasters and league member, Jill had the opportunity to visit a CBS Beach Drop event a few days before Episode 4 aired. We got to meet a lot of players...
AND try our hand at some real Survivor challenges.
One of the sections of this week’s immunity challenge was a never-before-seen challenge, and we got to try it out for ourselves! Survivor’s legendary challenge producer, John Kirkhoffer himself told us it would be airing soon when we got to chat with him at the event, and next thing ya know, it's on our screens as a part of the Episode 4 Immunity Challenge!

The challenge ended in a loss for the Lavo tribe after they were unable to get even ONE SINGLE PIECE of the puzzle into its place.

And you know what?! I’m thrilled for their loss because it led us to one of the most exciting blindsides of the pre-merge new era. After finding out that she was Kishan’s decoy name, Genevieve, who had been essentially purpled up until this episode, became the leading lady of Survivor 47 in one fell swoop. Though I was bummed we won't get to see Kishan continue into the merge as a super sociable player, I cannot help but be excited for the thrill of who Genevieve will annihilate next.

HOW DID WE DO, VUKELULU?
This was a fairly high-scoring week, especially for a prre-merge episode. With Sue's dramatic "tongue bite," she was the player who caused the biggest waves (or Sue-nami) this week in terms of points. Andy, Teeny and Caroline also brought in decent points for their tribes after an epic Survivor Journey (jury is still out though on this "split idol" business...)
Emmy and Kath brought in the most points for their tribes this week (64 ppoints), followed by Maggie with 59. Sadly with Kishan's boot, Andrew, Anthony E., Christie, Rachael, and Sasha all lost their Sole Survivor pick and Nolan, who was the lowest-scoring league member this week with 12 points, is now down to a tribe of two...sorry for you...

That’s all we got for ya! Sorry for the delayed post!
