Did You Vote for a Swap? (S50: Episode 3)

Ok… we gotta address the elephant in the room: the rap. My household is unfortunately operating without a DVR/rewind/pause feature when watching live, so the episode had already started while Jill was getting out of the shower and literally yelled down, “WTF is happening right now on Survivor?” I… just don’t know.

  • I have been incredibly impressed so far with R-I-Z-G-O-D BABY's game. I think he’s been playing with a masssiiiiveeee disadvantage, not being able to pregame like everyone else CLEARLY has, especially with playing in S50 with people who were personally burned by Russell. I think Rizo's done a really nice job managing relationships... we’ve seen it a bunch in the last couple episodes, and especially in this episode, opening up to Charlie. I just for the life of me CANNOT get on board with Charlie. (It’s funny he said he wouldn’t want Rizo on the jury because he can’t judge fairly, when I feel the exact opposite... I wouldn’t want Charlie anywhere near my jury! Booooo!!)

  • I’m ultimately bummed Q’s game was cut short. I think he really finessed and reworked his game from the last time he played. He seemed to be in the majority of a solid alliance and unfortunately got swapped onto a tribe I think pretty much all of us were hoping for (all three OG David vs. Goliath together at last), but it ended up being detrimental to his game because of the lost vote.

  • At Tribal Council, right before getting his torch snuffed, Q asked Ozzy if he was responsible for the boot. If you listen to the audio/read the subtitles, it seems like Ozzy replied, “Yeah.” However, not according to Q.

In an interview with TV Insider, Q said Ozzy actually denied leading the charge to vote Q out: "Ozzy actually said no,” Q said. “I swear. I asked Ozzy, ‘Was this you?’ He was like, ‘Nah.’ And you can see him kind of shaking his head in the episode. If you go back and watch it, he was shaking his head, nah.” So, whyyyyy was this added in? Seems kinda odd?

  • As we head into this week's episode the one question on my mind is: how are we cutting down this cast of TWENTY with only ten episodes left!?!

VUKELULU EPISODE 3

For a pre-merge episode this was a pretty low-scoring (and standard) week. Chrissy earned the most points this week for simply being on a winning tribe and crying (12 points), and although Christian was on the losing tribe, he still managed to score 11 points for naming the episode and saying "100%" (my new fave points category btw). Q earned his tribes negative points this week for being unable to vote at tribal...ouch!

Anthony M continues his climb to the top this week, but Rebecca (up 2) and AJ are hot on his heels (up 8)! No one lost their sole this week with Q's elimination, however, we do have some tribes that are now already down two players: Amy, Bradley, Gabe, Mel, Mirette, Paul, Reid, Seth, Tess, and Tribemaster Liv. Sorry for you...
